（1）航空航天用高性能、功能性高分子材料；（2）高性能、功能性有機-無機雜化材料；（3）具有仿生微納結構的功能性高分子材料研究。

作為科研骨幹參與或獨立主持了一系列的課題研究，包括國家自然科學基金、863項目、973項目、國家科技攻關項目等。取得了系列研究成果，多個項目成果在合作企業中進行中試，已有産品投入批量生産。近年來承擔國家自然科學基金（No. 51373007, No. 51003004）2項；北京市自然科學基金資助項目（No.2142019）1項; 教育部留學回國人員科研啟動基金資助項目1項；中央高校基本科研業務費“海外優秀人才基金” 1項；北航“航空百人”條件建設經費資助1項。作為學術骨幹參與973計劃（No. 2010CB934700）1項。承擔橫向課題多項。
