UK Content Creators Vote In Favour Of 28 Day Tests

UKAP the association for adult content creators, producers and services met at Sanctum Soho Hotel on Tuesday March 26th for a day of events  and discussions around issues affecting the adult business

A vote was called for a show of hands in favour of 28 day testing over the newly imposed 14 day testing from European companies in the wake of a high profile male performer in Barcelonat esting positive for HIV in February which sent shock waves through the adult industry.

Many indendent content creators in the UK carried on shooting through the shut down as various voices in Europe criticised and formed their own meeting  which excluded the UK to impose the rule of 14 day PCR testing.

Its important that everyone realises producers have performer safety at heart but the problem is not the testing itself but the practicality of getting the entire business to adopt the new standard 

56 Dean Street have stated their position about not being able to facilitate testing every 14 days at the meeting and Your Sexual Healh was brought in as a private alternative to do the tests for performers to work with the companies that require 14 days with PCR. UKAP has appointed their committee member Sahara Knite as their representative to engage the clinics and assist with the changes necessary for a smooth transition between the 28 and 14 day options.

The reason UKAP has to consider both options is down to the industry has  alot more content creators than it has studios providing paid work and it is not necessary for those who do not work for studio based producers to get the 14 days if there is not enough paid work to cover the added expense. Some companies are subsidising the performers to cover the additional cost of the tests. Always check first with the producer or studio booking you if they offer this.
