UKAP To Honour SW Campaigner Laura Lee At UKAP Awards 2018

The UKAP Awards will honour  sex workers rights campaigner Laura Lee at this years annual UKAP Awards in October

The association for adult content producers and services will be presenting Laura Lee posthumously  with an award to recognise the dedication she made towards campaigning for decriminalisation, the stress of which contributed to her passing in February this year. She was 39.

The association is no stranger to supporting sexual freedom campaigns. The  Recognition Awards was set up to honour the unsung heroes who "work tirelessly in their passion to defend sexual freedom and expression, often at a cost to themselves and without thanks"

Honouring Laura Lee with this award is to show our respect for what she has achieved and as a symbol of our support to all sex workers in the face of new legislation that will threaten their safety in the workspace and increase the stigma of sex work which ultimately affects us all no matter what level of the spectrum we see ourselves on.

It is no secret that the adult business blurs  the line into areas of sex work that includes video productions, telephone chatlines and webcamming. If we choose to deny this aspect  then we are contributing to the very  endangerment of our sex worker friends
